All ski runs are easily accessible from the town centre and the ski-pass owners can join a free ski bus service to the ski facilities.

Cross-country lovers will enjoy 15/20 km of trails in the wood; the beginners find some rings. There is a cross-country centre where important events, even international races take place.

Sappada is home of famous cross-country champions, such as Silvio Fauner, Pietro Piller Cottrer and Maurilio De Zolt; home of the brothers Filippo and Giacomo Kratter, popular snowboard champions – the second came fourth (in the half-pipe event) during the last Olympics in Salt Lake City.
